  • The new contract covers the consumption needs of Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant operations
  • The energy expected to be used in one year exceeds 90 million kWh

The Generalitat has awarded the supply of high and low voltage electricity worth 14,165,622.59 euros, VAT included, to Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) for one year, within the Framework Agreement for energy distribution to the consumption points of the Generalitat Administration, its public sector and Member Entities 3/20 CC. Exp. 21/020.

The current contract, derived from the Central Purchasing Framework Agreement (3/18CC), ends on 30th June, so it was necessary for the public company to contract the supply of low and high voltage power for the Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant operations.

The new contract will come into force at the time of signing, for a maximum period of one year, plus a possible extension of another year.

FGV’s expected supply for one year is more than 90 million kWh and will enable them to meet the energy consumption needs for the train and tram traction, buildings, maintenance facilities, and FGV underground and overground stations in Valencia and Alicante.

As a Generalitat public sector entity, FGV is linked to the Central Purchasing Office and to the framework agreements that are tendered from it.
