- The discount for multi-journey tickets and season tickets is extended until 31 July 2024, and free travel for young people up to 30 years of age is extended until 30 June 2024

The plenary session of the Council has approved the decree law extending the temporary fare reductions in public transport services under the jurisdiction of the Generalitat for a period of six months in 2024.
With this decree law, fare reductions on temporary season tickets and multi-journey tickets of 50% for public transport services under the jurisdiction of the Generalitat are extended next year for a period of six months, until 31 July 2024. Similarly, the Free Temporal Jove season ticket for young people up to 30 years of age is extended to 30 June 2024.
Users can benefit directly, without the need to carry out any type of procedure or technical process, from these discounts that affect TRAM de Castelló, Metrobus, Metrovalencia, TRAM d’Alacant and urban and interurban buses.
The estimated cost for the Generalitat of the application of these two measures is around 18.4 million euros.
Balance sheet and renewal process
Since the last extension of the Free Youth Pass in June of this year, 18 million trips have been made on the aforementioned means of public transport, a figure that has meant a saving for Valencian, Alicante and Castellón families of 15 million euros.
Once this extension is approved, young people who already have the ticket must renew it in Valencia and Alicante at the automatic ticket vending machines of Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant, and in Castellón de la Plana at the Customer Service office of TRAM de Castelló.
Furthermore, the 50% discounts for multi-journey tickets will be applied directly, so that users will not need to go through any type of procedure or technical process.
This information will be disseminated through the different communication channels of the public transport services of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón.
