The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, announced “the six-month extension of the 50% discount on the Generalitat’s public transport passes, season tickets and multi-journey tickets for six months, as well as free passes for people under 31 years of age”.
This was announced by the head of the Council after the meeting of the board of directors of Ferrocarrils of the Generalitat Valenciana where the plenary session of the Council agreed to process the decree law that will give continuity to the extension of this measure that includes the TRAM of Castelló, Metrobús, Metrovalencia, TRAM d’Alacant and intercity buses of the Generalitat.
The president has assured that the aim of the Council is “to offer quality public transport, accessible to all families and universal”, while “promoting sustainable mobility”.
In addition to these measures, which will last until the end of the year, it should be remembered that the Generalitat has frozen public transport fares for 2024.
