  • The cancellation allows for the normal operation of the special Hogueras services in Alicante scheduled between June 20 and 25
  • In Valencia, normal metro and tram service has also resumed, and a special service will be offered on the night of San Juan

The management of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) and union representatives from UGT, CC.OO Valencia and Alicante, and SF Valencia signed the company’s 14th Collective Bargaining Agreement this morning, which is valid until the end of 2029.

The agreement has led to the cancellation of the planned strikes by the SIF and SEMAF unions.

This cancellation will allow both Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant to operate normally, especially in Alicante, which will be offering special services from tomorrow, June 20th, until June 25th for the Hogueras festival.

Similarly, in Valencia, special metro and tram services will be offered on the night of San Juan, as in previous years.

The SIF and SEMAF unions, along with CGT Valencia, did not sign the new agreement, but given the agreement reached, they have decided to call off the planned strikes.

The new Collective Bargaining Agreement includes economic and social improvements for all FGV employees in Valencia and Alicante and has the support of the majority of union representatives in the public company.
